Caribbean Tourism Organisation Scholarship FoundationApplications are invited from suitably qualified individuals to pursue studies in the areas of tourism, hospitality and language training. The Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) Scholarship Foundation offers two (2) types of assistance:
Studies can be pursued both within and outside the Caribbean region. Application forms are available at the Training Division, Department of Administration, Government Headquarters or on the CTO website www.onecaribbean.org. The deadline date for applications to reach the CTO Foundation in Barbados is April 15, 2004.
Scholarships and Bursaries for October 2004 at the University of Cambridge. Applications are invited for awards offered by the Cambridge Commonwealth, Gates Cambridge, and Cambridge Overseas & Associated Trusts. These awards are for candidates wishing to undertake either a one-year postgraduate study or a course of research leading to the doctoral (PhD) degree at the University of Cambridge commencing October 2004. Applicants must complete a Preliminary Application Form to be returned to the University of Cambridge, to reach them no later than the 31st August 2003. Additional information along with the Preliminary Application Form may be obtained from the: Chief Training Officer, Training Division, Department of Administration, Government Headquarters, Brades, Montserrat. Post Graduate Scholarships Tenable in Malaysia-2004 Applications are invited from suitably qualified Nationals of Montserrat to pursue post-graduate studies at the Masters and Doctoral (PhD) levels at Malaysian Universities for the 2004/2005 academic year. The duration of an award for a Masters Programme is 12-24 months and between 36-42 months for a PhD programme. Eligibility These scholarships are open equally to men and women up to forty-five (45) years of age at the time of application. Candidates should hold a degree or equivalent qualification with at least upper second-class honours for a Masters programme or a Masters degree for a PhD programme. It is the responsibility of the candidate to seek admission into a participating University (see attachment Annex I). Value of AwardsEach Scholarship consists of: i. a return ticket from Montserrat to Malaysia; ii. approved tuition fees; iii. a maintenance allowance at the rate of RM750 per month; iv. a yearly grant for books and internal travel; v. thesis allowance, installation and termination grant.

Chevening Scholarships - Caribbean Overseas Territories Applications are invited from suitable qualified individuals, to pursue one (1) year postgraduate or post-professional studies, at a University or recognised Professional Institute in the United Kingdom. The Scholarships are offered by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) under the Chevening - Caribbean Overseas Territories scheme for the 2004/2005 academic year commencing August/September 2004. Applicants must: (a) Be a citizen of Montserrat; (b) have attained a Bachelor's Degree, by July 2004; (c) present proof, that they have been accepted for the course of study for which they are applying; (d) return to Montserrat on completion of the course of study.
